Two weeks! (Weekly wrap-up)

I ran 10 miles yesterday!! and I did it on a treadmill.  Yep, I did.

I really wanted to get in one more long run before tapering and was hoping for 8 without knee pain but once I started running I decided that I felt good enough to go to ten.  My right knee was a little sore by the end, but it wasn't too terrible.  I was sore last night but much better this morning, I will continue to date my foam roller, it really helps.

Two weeks from today!!! I'm so excited, I really cannot think of anything else.  See, this was supposed to be the weekly wrap-up but all I did was post about ten miles and how the race is two weeks off!  I have nearly all of my clothes packed already, it helps that I cannot wear any of those things right now anyway because it's negative-freezing here all the time.

I think I'm going to keep this short and sweet since I will just end up repeating how excited I am over and over if I continue.

Who has started packing?  Are you a drag-it-out for weeks packer or a last minute packer?

  1. 10 Miles!! Yay!! You've got this! So glad you knee is doing better! The only thing I've packed is your Purple Swirl Sparkle Skirt. But I'm all done with my 10k costume and about 80% done with my half marathon costume. I'll probably do most of my packing next weekend. Well, guess I better get out there and get my long run in this morning too. Then it's taper-town!!

    1. See, those of you living in a warmer climate are at a disadvantage! I don't have to have any of my current clothes clean, just my summer stuff! LOL...this is me trying to make myself better with the miserable next 12 days of winter!

  7. CONGRATS! I am so impressed by you. 10 miles. ON A TREADMILL!! I hope you celebrated :) I do have a small pile started for packing - mostly my race day stuff since I can't wear it now in this winter! I'm usually a last minute packer, but I will be packing ahead of time this year :)

    1. Thanks Alicia! For the first time, I used my daughter's ipad and watched a show while running. That REALLY helped!

  8. Way to go on the 10 miles!

I haven't started packing yet, but I made up a list. I live in Atlanta - so a lot of the clothes that'll be good in Florida are still in use the next two weeks :D
